Maverick currently has two official shop rides.
Every Friday at 7:00 AM, we meet at the shop for a road ride to Seal Beach and back. The pace is moderate, and depending on the group, we may split into a faster group and a more casual group. Most of the route is on bike paths, making it a safe and comfortable ride for both experienced riders and those still getting used to group riding.
On the last Saturday of each month, Whittier Pedal Pack hosts a gravel ride from Maverick. Mountain bikes are welcome. The route may change, but it usually takes place around Turnbull Canyon and the surrounding areas. The pace is beginner-friendly, and the group regroups regularly so no one has to worry about being left behind.
After each ride, we return to Maverick for coffee and a casual hangout. After the Whittier Pedal Pack ride, Diana prepares a homemade hamburger lunch for everyone to enjoy.
